Bearnard is going to make his way into your heart just like the others adorable famous story book bears before him. I love the nod to past famous bears in this book. Read the book and see if you can guess all the famous book bears it references. Bearnard worries about what it takes to be the lead character in a book. Luckily, he has a best friend named Gertie that helps him realize he just needs to be himself. This would be a great book to read to discuss courage, friendship and self esteem.
